Advanced features of Vigor2136 include Bandwidth management policies (QoS, VoIP prioritization, IP-based Bandwidth limit, etc.), failover capability, and WAN Data Budget support. It also supports up to eight VLANs (802.1q Tag-based, Port-based), includes a built-in DHCP server, and offers a Hotspot Web Portal with “click through” authentication and external portal server support.

It provides advanced security features, traffic monitoring, and can operate as a virtual controller for the free management of up to 20 DrayTek access points and 5 DrayTek switches. It is also manageable through DrayTek's VigorACS platform.
