Our History

LEXIS SA was founded in Athens in October 1986. Its main goal was the promotion of innovative communications technologies which at that time begun to develop, like packet switched networks (X.25), local area networks (LANs) and the protection against all electrical network problems through uninterruptible power supply (UPS).

LEXIS is one of the first companies to design and produce data communications products, such as the well-known Lexis modem (300bps speed in 1986) and the ERMIS-86, a radio link system for transport and distribution businesses. Following the evolving technological trends, year by year, LEXIS enriched its range of products and services by introducing and supporting credible solutions in the following areas:

• ADSL / Security Routers & VoIP Gateways since 1998
• Teleconferencing systems since 2002
• Ethernet Switches, Device Servers, Communication Gateways, Multiport Serial Boards, and Media Converters since 2003
• Network Security Systems since 2004
• Remote Monitoring Systems since 2004
• Wireless Networking Systems since 2007
• New Technology iPBX Digital Centers from 2010

In 2008, LEXIS invested in a state-of-the-art building in Gerakas, Attica, where its entire facilities were moved. This includes its HQ office, the central warehouse, and both technical support departments (UPS & Datacom) where all the technical tests are carried out.

Today LEXIS SA is one of the most experienced and specialized companies in the Security Industry and integration of wired/wireless Telecommunication Networks and UPS systems. With a continuous growth since its foundation in 1986, the company has a leading presence in the market and is dedicated to distribute state-of-the-art IT products and power solutions on the Greek and surrounding markets.
