VigorAP 906 is 11ax wall-mount/desktop wireless access point with a 5-port LAN switch. With wire-liked link rate up to 2402 Mbps in 5GHz band and up to 574 Mbps in 2.4GHz band, it’s suitable for high density environments. It can be cloud-managed by VigorACS*, and also act as the mesh Root AP to manage up to 7 mesh node APs in LAN.
The hardware interface of the access point includes: 5 LAN 10/100/1000M Base-T RJ-45 ports, one of which supports PoE-PD, 1 PoE 802.3at port, 2 detachable Dual-Band antennas (2.5 dBi for 5GHz, 2.7 dBi for 2.4GHz), buttons for factory reset, activation/deactivation of the wireless connection and the device, DC jack as an alternative power option via 12V.
VigorAP 906 can work as access point, Mesh Root and Mesh. In the latter case, node access point located in the same LAN subnet can be easily configured by scanning and receiving the settings via auto-provisioning from the Root access point. In addition, the VigorAP 906 can centrally manage up to 30 VigorAPs for free.
Its rich features include: built-in RADIUS server, hotspot login, AP-Assisted Roaming, AirTime Fairness, Band Steering, Wi-Fi Scheduling, Auto Channel Selection, 8 SSIDs (4 per band), WDS, Bandwidth & client limit, Connection Time Control and WMM.
VigorAP 906 security features include security modes WPA3, WPA3/WPA2, WPA2, WPA2/WPA, OWE, WPA and WEP, None, MAC address filtering, wireless client isolation and mobile device management.
Like most DrayTek Access Points, the VigorAP 906 can be managed through the company's routers, the free VigorConnect software as well as the VigorACS 3 central management software.
